The need to tell powerful stories through a “deep-dive approach”, using imagery backed up by data and digital advancement, is what can help a Newspaper or print media to sustain its credibility. In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic, many people changed their ways of getting information, thus forcing both print and broadcast media to also adjust to the demands of the day. This is what accumulated to the rebranding of one of Kenya’s oldest Newspaper, The Standard Newspaper, in an event which was graced by different dignitaries.
The change in format and structure of the newspaper has showed a new face of story-telling, make a fresh mark with its branding and change its design to make it easier for the reader to navigate through it and understand its content.
In a century-long journey, the publication has had to shift with change of time and environment, while maintaining its position as a formidable and reliable force in Kenyan journalism.
The Standard Newspaper and Standard Media Group fraternity, has been vital for GPF-Kenya in offering publicity and media coverage for our events, conferences and program such as Great Places to School.
