In celebration of the United Nations Day for Rural Women, the Global Peace Foundation Kenya through the Country Director Mr. Daniel Juma Omondi on 15th October 2021 gave a donation of sanitary pads to held needy girls in Embu County.
The donation was presented to Green Age Warrior Organization represented by Miss Earth Kenya 2020 Ms. Noni Kariuki for presentation to school going girls in Embu County.
Speaking during the oaccsion held at the GPF offices Mr. Omondi said that GPF-Kenya Chapter appreciates the need to give equal opportunity to women and girls to fully realize their potential in all aspects of societal development.
“During this year’s celebration under the theme; “Rural Women Cultivating Good Food for All” we encourage women to continue being productive in our farms and feeds many people not only in their immediate homes, but share the surplus with others in need.” He added.
