The Global Peace Foundation Kenya has partnered with the KCB Foundation and the Chandaria Foundation to support the Kenya National Strategy of achieving 30% forest cover by 2032 through the One Million Tree Growing Campaign.
In a meeting held at the Muthaiga Country Club on the 20th of November 2024, the three partners delved on a number of issues with environmental conservation toping up the list. In attendance were the Founder and chairman of the Chandaria Foundation Dr. Manu Chandaria, the Executive Director of the Global Peace Foundation Kenya Mr. Daniel Juma, the Director of KCB Foundation Ms. Mendi Njonjo and other key representatives from the three organizations.
As part of this partnership, the KCB Foundation committed to provide financial support which will see the campaign becomes a reality both in the short and long term.
KCB Foundation will also facilitate the distribution of trees from the Chandaria Tree Nurseries and One Million Tree Campaign Nurseries, prioritizing arid and semi-arid areas to ensure inclusive reforestation efforts.
