Global Peace Foundation Kenya

Karen, Nairobi – The Global Peace Foundation GPF-Kenya led by the Environment Program Manager, Mr Japheth Ouda, Youth Development Program Manager Ms Nasra Hassan, and Mr Rapando Vincent representing the Chandaria Foundation joined KCB Foundation and Kengen Foundation Managers Teddy Oracha and Ambrose, respectively, for a strategic visit to the SMACHS Foundation Demonstration Farm at the Charlene Ruto SMACHS Foundation Offices in Karen.

The visit was an important collaboration to foster smart farming, youth empowerment, and environmental stewardship. The SMACHS Demonstration Farm is a flagship program geared toward modeling practical and modern agricultural practices while providing hands-on learning opportunities for young Kenyans. The farm aspires to demonstrate that agriculture can be a viable, dignified, and profitable career path, especially in youth pursuits of sustainable employment and improved livelihoods.

During this engagement, the delegation had the honor of receiving the newly launched Five-Year Strategic Plan for the SMACHS Foundation from the Founder, Ms. Charlene Ruto herself. The strategic plan outlines a bold vision of scaling community-driven impact, strengthening youth participation, and positioning agriculture as a key enabler of national development.

The growing partnership between GPF Kenya, KCB Foundation, KENGEN Foundation, Chandaria Foundation, and SMACHS Foundation will promote youth engagement in climate-smart agriculture, develop responsible environmental behaviors, and fast-track progress toward national food security.

As this collaboration continues, so does the commitment of the organizations to equipping the youth with the relevant skills, knowledge, and resources that will enable them to actively contribute towards Kenya’s agricultural transformation and environmental sustainability agenda.
