Nairobi, Kenya – The President’s Fellowship Program of Global Peace Foundation Kenya continues to equip emerging leaders with practical, future-ready skills through an engaging session on the Business Model Canvas (BMC) — a globally recognized framework for building sustainable and impactful enterprises.
Bringing together fellows from across Kenya’s 47 counties, the session focused on empowering young leaders to transform ideas into structured, scalable, and mission-driven ventures. The Business Model Canvas provided participants with a strategic tool to define their value propositions, understand customer segments, map revenue streams, and design sustainable impact models.
From Vision to Viable Ventures
The interactive training guided fellows through the nine core building blocks of the Business Model Canvas, helping them:
Clarify their mission and value proposition
Identify key partners and resources
Map cost structures and revenue streams
Align enterprise strategy with community impact
Through collaborative exercises and peer feedback, fellows refined their ideas — ranging from social enterprises and tech innovations to climate action initiatives and community development programs.
Advancing Values-Based Leadership
Rooted in the Foundation’s commitment to ethical and values-based leadership, the session emphasized that successful enterprises must not only be profitable but also principled and community-centered. Fellows were challenged to design business models that reflect integrity, innovation, and service — hallmarks of the President’s Fellowship journey.
