Kenyatta University Interview: How can Education Transform the Society?

Nairobi, Kenya, 27th August, 2015 – The newly launched TV Station at Kenyatta University hosts Global Peace Foundation Kenya’s, Executive Director, Mr. Daniel Juma for an exclusive interview to discuss on the relevance of education in transforming the society today at the Arboretum grounds in Nairobi.

In his interview during the show that presented by  Mr. ‎Hillary Kawa and Dr. Zippy Okoth, Mr. Juma explains the importance of reviewing the current education curriculum in order to impart the youth with the necessary skills needed to survive in the 21st Century world. The Global Peace Foundation through its Education Program has been working with educators locally and around the world to ensure that education meets 21st Century demands and unemployment as structural pillars of peace in Kenya. This is mainly through the Leadership and Entrepreneurship Hubs and Character and Creativity Initiatives that are currently being implemented across 5 Counties: Nairobi, Kiambu, Machakos, Kajiado, Siaya and Bungoma with an objective to integrate Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Character and Creativity as part of the National School Curriculum in Kenya.
