The Global Peace Foundation (GPF) Kenya, represented by Mr. Vincent Ayako – Resource Mobilization and Strategic Partnerships Manager, today joined government actors, development partners, and civil society leaders at the European Union–Kenya Civil Society Forum: Inclusive Structured Dialogue.

The high-level forum convened representatives from the Government of Kenya, the European Union, and a wide range of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to strengthen collaborative efforts toward inclusive, transparent, and people-centered national development.

Key speakers — including Dr. Masini Ichwara (State Department for Economic Planning), Hon. Harriet Chiggai (Presidential Advisor on Women’s Rights), Dr. Raymond Omollo (Principal Secretary, State Department for Internal Security and National Administration), and H.E. Henriette Geiger (EU Ambassador to Kenya) — underscored the shared responsibility of all actors in advancing Kenya’s sustainable growth and democratic governance.

Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on priority areas critical to Kenya’s transformation, including:

  • Digitalization and Trade within the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA)
  • Human Capital Development and Gender Equality
  • Governance, Peace, and National Security
  • Operationalization of the Public Benefits Organisation (PBO) Act to support CSO effectiveness
  • Strengthening accountability, transparency, and public participation in public service

H.E. Henriette Geiger emphasized the necessity of coordinated action, stating:

“Transformation demands that we move beyond dialogue — to collaboration, action, and shared accountability.”

The forum reaffirmed the European Union’s commitment to partnering with Kenya’s vibrant civil society ecosystem to promote justice, gender equality, social cohesion, and sustainable development. GPF Kenya remains committed to advancing peacebuilding, civic participation, and inclusive governance through strategic partnerships and citizen-driven solutions.
