The Africa Regional Representative of the Global Peace Foundation, Mr.Daniel has challenged graduating students to embrace character, discipline, and purpose as they prepare for the next stage of their academic and professional journeys.
Speaking during the Year 11 and Year 13 Graduation Ceremony of Anatolia Academy Kenya at the Light International School Karen Campus, Mr. Juma congratulated the Class of 2026 and encouraged them to become ambassadors of excellence, integrity, and service.
He thanked Mr. Arden and Dr. Tashkyn Erkan, Country Director of the Harmony Institute, for the invitation, noting that it was his second opportunity to address a Light Schools graduation ceremony. He also recalled attending the school’s Cultural Day in 2025 and expressed pride that many of the students who showcased their talents during the event were among the graduates being celebrated.
In his keynote address, Juma emphasized that academic achievement must be accompanied by strong character and self-discipline. He expressed concern over recent incidents of school unrest and the closure of learning institutions following fire incidents, including the recent tragedy at Utumishi Girls Academy, and called for renewed emphasis on values-based education.
“Education must not only produce successful students but also responsible citizens and ethical leaders who contribute positively to society,” he said.
Dr. Tashkyn Erkan also addressed the graduates, commending students, parents, and teachers for their commitment to excellence and encouraging the graduands to pursue their dreams while upholding the values instilled by the institution.
The ceremony brought together parents, teachers, school administrators, and distinguished guests to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class and the enduring tradition of academic excellence and character development at Anatolia Academy Kenya.
As the graduates embark on new opportunities, they were encouraged to carry forward the values of leadership, service, and integrity and to become positive contributors to their communities and the world.
