On 21st September 2016, The Global Peace Foundation Kenya joined other partners including the County Government of Mombasa, The National Ferry Services and the Yaris Institute of Business Studies in celebrating the 2016 International Day of Peace at an event held in Mombasa. Speaking during the event, the Executive Director of the Global Peace Foundation Kenya who was the Guest of Honor in the event organized by the One Nation Under God Pwani branch emphasized on the need to strengthen families and youth empowerment as a way of enhancing resilience against terrorism and youth radicalization in the coastal region of Kenya.
